I am Veena Sahu, hailing from the vibrant town of Rourkela, Odisha. Born on 25th December 2004, my academic journey began at DAV Public School, Kansbahal, where I first cultivated a deep fascination with the world of technology. Currently, I am sophomore student at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, pursuing my undergraduate degree. As a student, I am on an adventurous quest to explore the ever-evolving technical landscape. My passion lies in delving into the intricacies of this dynamic field, constantly seeking to expand my horizons and uncover new possibilities. I am driven by a strong desire to solve real-world problems through creativity and innovation, striving to make a meaningful impact in the realm of technology.
I'm a Bachelor of Technology student at NIT Rourkela with a growing interest in technology and development. Over time, I've found myself drawn to building things, learning by doing, and being part of communities that support that journey. Through my involvement with the Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) on campus and AWS Cloud Club, I’ve had the chance to work on projects, contribute to events, and collaborate with others who are equally eager to learn and grow. It's helped me explore different areas of tech and develop skills beyond the classroom. Outside of academics, I’m also a member of the institute basketball team. Playing regularly has taught me a lot about teamwork, consistency, and staying focused — lessons that often carry over into other parts of life too.Together, these experiences continue to shape how I learn, build, and work with others — and I look forward to seeing where they take me next.
My technical journey has been shaped by a strong focus on problem-solving, with over 500+ DSA questions solved across platforms- LeetCode, Codechef and Codeforces. Alongside this, I’ve gained hands-on experience in full-stack web development by building and contributing to projects using technologies like React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, and MongoDB.I’ve worked on real-world applications, including the official GDSC NIT Rourkela website, an AI-powered travel recommendation platform, and an intelligent CI/CD workflow builder, each helping me deepen my understanding of scalable web architectures and modern development tools. In parallel, I’m actively exploring the AI/ML space — learning Python, experimenting with Gemini API, and working on projects that involve intelligent decision-making and recommendation systems.
I have hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and various CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap. I am proficient in version control using Git and GitHub, and comfortable working with RESTful APIs. I am currently focused on expanding my knowledge and practical skills through real-world projects, with the goal of developing robust, user-friendly web applications. My journey in web development is just beginning, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
I am passionate about creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. I have a keen eye for design and strive to create intuitive and engaging designs that captivate and delight users. I am proficient in using design tools like Figma and Canva to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. I am constantly learning and exploring new design trends and techniques to stay updated with the latest industry standards.
I am also diving into the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a focus on Python programming and fundamental ML concepts. I am actively learning through online courses and projects to deepen my understanding of algorithms, data preprocessing, and model building. I am looking forward to apply my knowledge to real-world problems and contribute to the development of innovative AI solutions.
I have a strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and have solved over 500+ problems on various competitive programming platforms. I enjoy tackling challenging problems and developing efficient solutions through logical reasoning and algorithmic thinking. I am constantly honing my problem-solving skills through practice and participation in coding contests.
